#4818 is a 155Mbps Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) PCI card that allows the iSeries to be attached into an ATM network using the Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) 9-micron interface. This interface is intended primarily for direct connection to service provider equipment but can be used for local area switches. #4818 will typically be used where 155Mbps speeds are required over distances of from 16 to 40Km.
